Sentechnics is a pioneer of steel cord conveyor belt inspection technology. Its founders started the research project of steel cord conveyor belt detection method in 1995 sponsored by the national coal mining department.

In 1999 they built the first and sole set of steel cord conveyor belt inspection system in China based on latest magnetic flux leakage (MFL) technology. 

In 2001, the product won the Technology Innovation Advancement Awards of the nation and province.

With the fast growing of Chinese mining industry in the past 20 years, Sentechnics' engineers had faced many challenges due to complex mining environment (many underground mines working under 800 meters deep from surface; diversity of geological environment); various application requirements. Sentechnics obtained rich experience and technical expertise from working with hundreds of customers.

The first and sole China Industry Standard - MT/T 1176-2019 - Conveyor Belt Inspection Equipment drafted by Sentechnics has officially published by the China National Coal Mining Safety Bureau. The effective date is 1st June 2020. Sentechnics is proud of being one of the key drafters of this standard.
