Product Overview


Longitudinal tearing of conveyor belts occurs from time to time, and according to Australian statistics, a conveyor belt has a 20% chance of tearing once in its life cycle. Once a longitudinal tear occurs on an expensive conveyor belt, the belt may be completely destroyed in a short period of time, resulting in huge economic losses. Even if it can be repaired, it requires considerable labor and time, which greatly affects normal production.


Reliable and practical longitudinal belt tear monitoring device can realize timely detection of longitudinal belt tear faults, timely shutdown, and minimize the loss.


On the basis of years of hard research in the field of longitudinal tearing, we use the latest image recognition technology to scan the surface of the conveyor belt for the first time using laser stripes continuously, and use the characteristics of the laser stripes that will be obvious changes in the cracks generated by the longitudinal tearing to determine whether or not the longitudinal tearing of the conveyor belt occurs, and provide a truly reliable and practical means of scientific detection for the detection of longitudinal tears for the users of the conveyor belt.


At the same time, it provides a kind of mature equipment for detecting longitudinal tear in real time, which can be widely promoted. It can completely replace the manual inspection, realize the fully automatic inspection, reduce the overall maintenance cost of the conveyor belt, and prolong the service life of the conveyor belt.


Our conveyor belt longitudinal tear detection system can carry out real-time on-line detection of the bottom condition of the upper belt in all-weather under the normal operation of the conveyor, and once the belt is torn longitudinally, it will send out an alarm and stop the belt operation at the first time to avoid further expansion of the accident.





Product Principle


The laser and camera are installed at the left and right sides of the lower side of the upper conveyor belt. The laser launches a strip laser onto the bottom of the upper conveyor belt, which is reflected on the surface of the conveyor belt and captured by the camera, and the center of the laser stripe is extracted automatically, which is analyzed by the computer software and the data is restored, and a 3D image of the bottom surface of the upper conveyor belt is obtained. AI algorithm is applied to determine whether tearing occurs.

Third Generation Product Features


Since the launch of the first generation of conveyor belt longitudinal tear detection device in 2013, Wisers has been committed to product improvement and product diversification for ten years. Based on hundreds of field application experiences, the third generation product has been upgraded to the earlier version, which includes:


1. Dual Recognition Technology


The third generation adds AI image recognition technology to the original image recognition technology. Through the deep learning model, we have trained and tested the actual running big data set collected from hundreds of field units during the past 10 years, and constructed the longitudinal tear recognition model of the conveyor belt, which is able to quickly and accurately distinguish the torn pictures from the captured images.


2. Multiple judgment technology


The third generation adds the second confirmation of abnormal pictures in a single frame, only if the second judgment is a torn picture and reaches a continuous value, it will be judged as a tear.


3. Upgraded anti-interference ability


》 The window structure is reset to minimize dust, mud and water from being thrown directly onto the glass surface;

》 Maximize the contact area of the glass to reduce the probability of dust, mud and water falling onto the glass;

》 Raise the height of the window to prevent the falling mud and water from splashing back to the glass surface twice;

》 A variety of cleaning methods alternately clean, minimize the direct contact cleaning damage to the glass.


4. Product independence upgrade


The third-generation product adopts independently designed explosion-proof DC brushless motor, which is powered by 12V power supply and operates independently and controllably.


5. Upgrade of system centralized monitoring capability


One computer of the third generation can access multiple cameras, which can realize real-time monitoring of multiple conveyor belts by one computer. Our self-developed remote centralized control platform can control the program running computers installed in different locations. The platform adopts TCP transmission protocol to display the screen of each program running computer in real time, and collect the system status and alarm information of the longitudinal tear detection software on the program running computer in real time. Once the longitudinal tear detection software detects the tear, the remote centralized control platform can immediately sound and light alarms, which is convenient for the supervisory personnel to verify and deal with the situation.


6. External output interface upgrade


The third generation supports TCP/IP protocol, Modbus Tcp protocol, webSocket and other protocols, which is convenient to access with third-party platforms.


7. Comprehensive protection upgrade


Full cross-section protection - On the basis of the original longitudinal tear detection, the third generation integrates the conveyor belt deflection and edge tear measurement system. The belt deflection and edge tear measurement system focuses on detecting the edge position of the conveyor belt, and can give the value of conveyor belt width and the amount of conveyor belt deflection in real time, so that once the conveyor belt sends out a serious deflection or the edge is torn or broken, it can be alarmed and shut down at the first time.


8. Product Diversity Upgrade


For different application environments, the third generation of longitudinal tear detection device for conveyor belts has been released in several versions. All versions have the same software function, but the difference is the dustproof, waterproof and explosion-proof structure.
